Reggie Jackson is getting a buyout from the Detroit Pistons. He plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers once it's finalized, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Jackson has appeared in 14 games this season. He's averaging 14.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists while shooting 38.4 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from beyond the arc and 78.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Los Angeles Lakers had hoped to sign Jackson, too, but the Clippers are going to get him instead:

Jackson has career NBA averages of 12.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Pistons. He becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season ends.

The Clippers are 37-18 on the season. They are in third place in the Western Conference standings.

After acquiring Marcus Morris from the New York Knicks, the Clippers will start Patrick Beverley, Paul GeorgeKawhi Leonard, Morris and Ivica Zubac moving forward, with Jackson coming off the bench.
