Basketball Hall of Famer and current TNT broadcaster Reggie Miller has absolutely gone off on the NYPD police chief about a recent rant the high-ranking officer delivered pertaining to how the police force has been mistreated of late.

Miller did not have any sympathy whatsoever for what the chief was complaining about, and the Indiana Pacers legend took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter:

To be fair to the chief, he does have a point. Not all cops are racists, and to some extent, it is unfair that they are being judged collectively for the indecency of some on their side. As he said in his speech, “that's not what we do,” pertaining to the “disgusting” act by the Minneapolis police officer that put his knee on Floyd's neck. Then again, we need to bring in Eric Garner into the conversation. Garner also died at the hands of the police back in 2014 in a similar incident with Floyd's, and this transpired at the hands of the NYPD.

For his part, Reggie Miller is not buying any of this. And frankly, who can blame him? Who can blame the entire Black community for feeling so much anger and hatred towards the police? Floyd and Garner are just two of the seemingly countless victims that were killed as a direct result of police brutality, the use of excessive force, and racial discrimination.

Right now it is clear that there are two opposing factions that are completely at odds. However, this will be resolved is anybody's guess at this point.
