Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Houston Rockets point guard James Harden have been named the NBA Players of the Month for December.
Both stars put up monster numbers while leading their respective teams to impressive records during the month of December.
Antetokounmpo averaged 25.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in December, while Harden put up 36.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 7.9 assists. The Bucks went 10-4 and the Rockets went 11-4.

Both Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden are in the MVP discussion right now. The Greek Freak has guided the Bucks to a 26-10 record, which is good for second place in the Eastern Conference. Harden, meanwhile, has single-handedly brought the Rockets up in the Western Conference standings. Houston is 21-15, sitting at the fourth spot in the West.
Harden won the MVP award last season and he's making a strong case for winning it again. The Beard is averaging 33.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game on the season and shooting 44.2 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc and 84.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Harden has 12 double-doubles and four triple-doubles on the year.
Antetokounmpo is dominating the league without a 3-point shot and it's amazing to watch him on a nightly basis. The two-time All-Star is putting up 26.3 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists and shooting an efficient 58.6 percent overall.
