While his NBA career never really got a chance to take off, Royce White still possesses some superstar-caliber confidence. This is exactly what he exuded when he was drafted as the first overall pick in this year's BIG3 draft:

White was obviously referring to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who himself also stands at 6-foot-8. White believes that his versatility to play several positions makes him comparable to LeBron. Well, we never really got a chance to see White's talents at the highest level, as he was barely able to play in the NBA.

After a single year in college with Iowa State, White declared for the draft and got picked by the Houston Rockets with the 16th overall pick back in 2012. However, he was involved with a famous dispute with the team regarding the alleged lack of mental health support provided by the organization. White has a fear of flying and felt that his situation was not being dealt with properly by the Rockets. White was never able to take the floor for Houston.

This eventually led to White being traded the following year to the Philadelphia 76ers, who would waive him just a few months later, without having been able to play a single minute for the team.

Come 2014, though, he finally got his break with the Sacramento Kings, who signed him on a 10-day deal. White would finally be able to make his NBA debut a couple of years after he was drafted. However, he would only play a grand total of nine minutes in three games, putting up literally zero counting stats, save for a single field goal attempt and two personal fouls.

Fast-forward a few years later and White made his mark in the NBL Canada for the London Lightning, where he would be named the league's MVP for the 2016-17 season.

Now, Royce White will have a chance to showcase his alleged LeBron-like talents on a bigger stage in Ice Cube's BIG3 league.
