Future NBA Hall of Fame shooting guard Dwyane Wade has enjoyed retirement thus far, with the Miami Heat lifting his No. 3 jersey into the rafters of American Airlines Arena last month and now his new TNT broadcast colleague (and former teammate) Shaq losing an on-air bet to him.

Shaquille O'Neal bet Wade that the Milwaukee Bucks would defeat the Miami Heat recently, but All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler instead led the South Beach franchise to victory. The outcome of losing the wager for O'Neal meant growing out his hair, with the balding former NBA superstar center having to show off his hairline to the people on air.

O'Neal and Wade shared the court on the Heat for three-plus seasons, winning Miami's first title in 2006 against the Dallas Mavericks. Shaq had been an MVP and three-time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers before being traded to the Eastern Conference franchise.

Wade briefly competed for the Chicago Bulls and shared the hardwood with former Heat teammate LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers before settling back in south Florida for one last go of it during the 2018-19 season, after which he officially retired. Wade and Mavs power forward Dirk Nowitzki appeared in last year's All-Star Game as a send-off to the two legends who competed against each other in a pair of NBA Finals.

After retiring, Wade joined the NBA on TNT crew, with more regular appearances this year where he gets to jab his former teammate.

While it's all love between Dwyane Wade and Shaq, the Hall of Fame center is surely upset he had to grow his hair out — much to his embarrassment.
