Longtime NBA point guard Steve Nash has noticed a change in the NBA as of late. However, Nash isn't bashing the league's new way of life but rather embracing it to a certain extent as NBA players continue to join forces each offseason.

“I’m fine with it,” Nash recently said, via Chat News Today. “I think it’s a natural evolution of the market and the league and its globalization and the amount of attention and social media. The players are starting to figure out that they are irreplaceable pieces in this machine so they are flexing their muscle, so to speak.”

Not only that, but the former NBA signal-caller thinks that both the league and its players association will continue to adapt over the years en route to finding a commonplace as they see fit.

“If there’s need to be change, which you could argue for sure, it’s also been exciting. It’s made the NBA in many ways a 12-month league,” Nash added, via Chat News Today.

Of course, Nash was part of some incredibly talented teams during his NBA playing days. Most notably, Nash ran the point for a Phoenix Suns team that features a slew of superstar caliber players like Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire and Joe Johnson — just to name a few. Additionally, the famed point guard also suited up alongside Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki — among many others — during his playing days with the Western Conference franchise.

It is worth mentioning, though, that these teams were not built as blatantly through free agent as has become the norm today.
