If the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns want to agree upon a Chris Paul trade, Phoenix will have to offer OKC some combo other than Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ricky Rubio.

According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7, the Thunder have no interest in acquiring Oubre Jr. and Rubio from the Suns, as general manager Sam Presti doesn't want to add any multi-year contracts to OKC's books.

The Suns are trying to acquire Chris Paul and pair him with Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. While the Thunder are said to be open to working with Paul on a trade, the franchise isn't just going to give him up for spare parts since he's still one of the best point guards in the NBA.

In 2019-20, Paul averaged 17.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 48.9 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from beyond the arc and 90.7 percent from the free-throw line. He made his 10th All-Star team and guided the Thunder to the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference.

For the Suns, Kelly Oubre Jr. put up 18.7 points per game, while Ricky Rubio averaged 13.0 points and 8.8 assists. Phoenix went 8-0 in the seeding games at Walt Disney World, but they missed the 2020 playoffs.

If the Suns acquire Paul, they will have a lethal Big Three of CP3, Booker and Ayton. It's also worth mentioning that Paul and Phoenix head coach Monty Williams have a good relationship, as Williams coached Paul during the 2010-11 season on the New Orleans Hornets.
