Arguably one of the quickest NBA point guards of his era, Tim Hardaway Sr. claims that he has the best crossover ever. Hardaway spent the better part of his career with the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat.

Amulya Shekhar of Sportskeeda sat down with Hardaway during an NBA promotional event in India.

Q: Do you think yours is the best crossover of all time?

Tim Hardaway Sr: No question. My crossover is better than anybody's crossover, whoever thought they had a crossover – mine.

Q: Is it because they carry the ball?

Tim Hardaway Sr: Yeah, I didn't carry the ball. They pick it up and do this and all of that, I didn't have time to do all of that. I'm trying to get to the rim, that exhausts a lot of energy.

Last year, Hardaway also took pride in having a better crossover than the legendary Allen Iverson. Like what he pointed out with the players of today, Hardaway says that Iverson would always carry the ball when crosses over his opponent. With that claim, he is assured that he was the one who originated the ‘killer crossover.'

Hardaway is now serving as an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons. His son, Tim Hardaway Jr., is having a great individual season with the New York Knicks.

Hardaway was one-third of the popular Warriors' ‘Run DMC' that included Hall of Famers Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond. He has career averages of 17.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game.

However, Hardaway failed to win the Larry O'Brien trophy during his playing career, something that he now hopes to achieve as an assistant coach for the Pistons.
