Vince Carter announced on ESPN's The Jump on Wednesday that he'll play one more season in the NBA before calling it quits.

Carter is an unrestricted free agent this summer. He played last season with the Atlanta Hawks.

Carter averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 2018-19 with the Hawks. The former high-flyer shot 41.9 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 71.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Carter entered the league back in 1998 with the Toronto Raptors. He has career averages of 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 1,481 games with the Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Hawks. Vince is a eight-time All-Star and was the 1999 Rookie of the Year.

It will be interesting to see where Carter is playing next season. The Hawks are still rebuilding and not ready to make the playoffs. It would be fun to see Vinsanity play in the playoffs one last time before he retires from the NBA. Hopefully, a contender calls Carter this summer.

When you think about Vince Carter, the first memory that comes to mind is his epic dunk contest win back in 2000. The show Vince put on that night for the world was mesmerizing.
