Yao Ming looked back on the time when LeBron James was just a young rookie, posting a photo featuring himself and James.

Enclosed is a caption basically acknowledging that James schooled him with a brand new move. Check out the photo below as posted by Yao in his Instagram account:

Yao was a sophomore during James' first season. Back then, they were tagged as the future of the NBA. James was the most hyped high-school prospect during that time. Yao, on the other hand, proved in his second year his 7-foot-6 frame contained 100 percent basketball talent.

Yao, as we all know, didn't stay for long in the NBA. Injuries pretty much hampered his career, limiting him to a total of eight seasons in the league. But it was all he needed to establish a Hall-of-Fame career.

The two didn't exactly have classic games against each other. After all, Yao was out in the West, James was in the East. And during Yao's stint in the NBA, James was still searching for that winning formula to elevate his game from prodigy to a real victor.

James eventually found the way to win when he moved to Miami. Meanwhile, Yao was already on the brink of retirement.

Indeed, our fair share of James-Yao battles were cut short. But we still do have the photo above to reminisce on what could have been.
