Why The Clippers Could Cover The Spread
Los Angeles remains without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, while guys like Reggie Jackson and Brandon Boston Jr. have tried to step in and man the show. The Clippers have managed to hover near .500 but are slipping down the standings slowly but surely. This will be another tough matchup vs. a good 76ers team, but Philadelphia is a bit banged up. Los Angeles will need another big performance from Ivica Zubac vs. Embiid. Zubac scored 32 points in the Clippers' loss to the Nuggets on Tuesday.

The Clippers are 21-25 vs. the spread this season, and 5-5 in their last ten games. Los Angeles is 9-9 vs. the spread as an underdog this season, and 5-6 as the away dog.
Why The 76ers Could Cover The Spread
Joel Embiid will be a tough matchup for the Clippers, but he will be without a few of his teammates. Matisse Thybulle, Shake Milton and Danny Green are out, while Seth Curry is questionable. This leaves the 76ers rather thin in the backcourt, and could make things tough for them in terms of perimeter defense. Tyrese Maxey will likely take on a bigger role in this game, as will Curry if he suits up without minutes restrictions. The 76ers will look to stay hot in this one as winners of eight of their last ten games.

Take the 76ers to win and cover here vs. the Clippers. Hopefully Seth Curry can suit up for this one and give the 76ers some needed scoring out of the backcourt. Regardless, Embiid should get what he wants in this one and lead Philadelphia to a comfortable victory. The 76ers have been rolling of late and are tough to fade even as big favorites in this spot. Embiid is by far the best player on the floor in this game and should be able to control the game.
