The Atlanta Hawks will play the Miami Heat in an Eastern Conference matchup on Friday night. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Heat-Hawks prediction and pick.

The Hawks and Heat will meet again on Friday as Atlanta looks to make it three straight wins on their home floor this week. Atlanta snapped a ten-game home losing streak on Monday vs. the Milwaukee Bucks, and followed that up with another win on Wednesday vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Heat have won seven of their last ten games but will be without guards Kyle Lowry and Tyler Herro for this one. The Hawks are slight home favorites over the Heat in this one as of Friday afternoon.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Heat-Hawks odds for this Friday NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Heat-Hawks Odds

Miami Heat +1.5 (-110)

Atlanta Hawks -1.5 (-110)

Over 219 (-110)

Under 219 (-110)

Why The Heat Could Cover The Spread

Miami has already beat the Hawks twice this season, and they have played shorthanded for several of their games this season. That has not stopped the Heat, as they are tied with the Chicago Bulls atop the East standings heading into this one. The Heat will lean heavy on Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in this one with their top guards down. The Heat are good at developing a deep roster and have been able to have success with guys in and out all season. This is a sneaky spot for Miami as the better team getting points.

Miami vs. the spread

The Heat are 27-18 against the spread this season, going 8-2 in their last ten games. Miami is 15-10 as the road team vs. the line this season, going 9-2 ATS as road underdogs.

Why The Hawks Could Cover The Spread

The Hawks might finally be finding themselves, as the return of De'Andre Hunter has been a god send for the club. The bench looks better since the Cam Reddish trade, and rookie Onyeka Okongwu has looked good stepping in for Clint Capela. Capela is questionable to make his return on Friday after missing the last few games with an ankle sprain. Danilo Gallinari is also questionable, while Bogdan Bogdanovic is out.

Trae Young scored 30 points in the second half alone of the Hawks' win over Minnesota on Wednesday. He finished with 37 points and 14 assists in the victory.

Atlanta vs. the spread

The Hawks are 17-27 vs. the spread this season, and 4-6 ATS in their last ten games. Atlanta is 9-12 against the spread at home, and 8-10 vs. the line as the home favorite.

Final Heat-Hawks Prediction and Pick:

This is a tough one. The Hawks are healthier and look good this week. However, the Heat have been the better team all season, but have their top two guards out. Reluctantly take the Hawks here, as they should be able to put themselves in a position to win coming off of back-to-back come from behind wins on their home floor.

Final Heat-Hawks Prediction & Pick: Hawks -1.5 (-110)
