Why The Heat Could Cover The Spread
The Heat have been having a very solid season so far. They have come away with some impressive victories against tough opponents. However, their last game was extremely disappointing. Miami lost by 17 to the Denver Nuggets and just couldn’t compete. The Heat will definitely be looking to bounce back on Wednesday against the Lakers. The Lakers have looked vulnerable this season and Miami will try and take advantage of that. Get ready for the Heat to come out firing and to try and take down LA.
Leading the way for Miami this season has been Jimmy Butler. Even in a tough loss to Denver, Jimmy had 31 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. The third year guard has improved every season he’s been in the league. This year he’s averaging over 20 points a game. Herro has been a crucial part of the Miami offense. The Lakers have been having a very underwhelming season. Prior to the start of the season many people thought that LA was going to make another championship run, but early struggles seem to indicate otherwise. The Lakers have been plagued with injuries and have not been playing up to their talent level. With no LeBron they were just able to squeak out an overtime victory against Charlotte. Los Angeles will look to get another win on Wednesday and finally start building momentum.
With no LeBron the leader of this team is Anthony Davis. Davis is the reason that Los Angeles walked away victorious against the Hornets. He had 32 points and 12 rebounds in that game and truly gave it his all. Davis has had some struggles this season, but overall he’s still one of the best players in the league. The Heat will have a tough time containing the big man, and Davis could have a big game on Wednesday. If AD can get going against Miami then the Lakers could win this game. With their talented roster you can never count LA out.
The Lakers added Russell Westbrook this off-season and the addition has been a bit rough. Westbrook is still figuring out his role and the team is adjusting to the new roster. With that said, Russ had his second triple double as a Laker against Charlotte. He dropped 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists. Russ and AD are a very good duo that have the potential to go off on any given night. If these two guys have a big night then LA could pull off this upset.

This should be an interesting game. It could easily come down to the wire with these two teams. The Heat have been playing very good basketball. Their loss to the Nuggets was likely a fluke and they will be looking to bounce back in a big way.
