The Indiana Pacers will face the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Pacers-Warriors prediction and pick.

These teams are having very different seasons. Indiana started off the season poorly, and things haven't really gotten any better. The Pacers are still stuck around the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 16-29 record and no playoff aspirations. Meanwhile, the Warriors have come out of nowhere to claim a 32-12 record, the second-best mark in the league. Golden State looks like a lock to make a deep playoff run this season. Regardless of records, this should be an interesting game, so it's time to get into the pick.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread

The Pacers are a much better offensive team than most people give them credit for. Despite the fact they only average 108 points per game, Indiana shoots 54.7% from inside the arc and 45% overall. The rest of their offensive numbers are around league average, but their solid shooting from two-point range should help them succeed against one of the NBA's best defenses. The Pacers have also been surprisingly solid at scoring in the paint, another factor that should play into this game.

Luckily for Indiana, the Warriors won't be entering this game at full strength. Power forward Draymond Green and Otto Porter Jr. will both miss this contest. Green is obviously a key player to this Golden State team, and Porter's contributions shouldn't be overlooked either. Jonathan Kuminga and Nemanja Bjelica will likely be forced to see increased action in this game, which is always a good thing for teams playing the Warriors.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

Golden State has the statistical advantage in just about every category here. Their insane shooting percentages should fare well against an Indiana defense that allows opponents to shoot 46% from the field while giving up 108 points per game. The Pacers also struggle against teams that move the ball well, and the Warriors average the most assists per game in the entire league. The Warriors shouldn't have any trouble scoring, even with the injuries they're dealing with.

The Warriors have been one of the best teams in the league straight up and against the spread. Golden State has covered or pushed in 27 out of 44 games, one of the best records in the NBA. They also own an incredible 15-6-1 record ATS when they enter the game as a home favorite. The Pacers are 9-12 against the spread when they play on the road, so this looks like a great spot to bet on the better team to cover.

Final Pacers-Warriors Prediction & Pick

This is a pretty straightforward pick. The Warriors are the far more talented team, and they aren't favored by enough here. This should end in a complete blowout, so hammer Golden State to win and cover.
