The Houston Rockets have plummeted since dealing Harden to the Nets earlier this season. They were thrilled just to end their dreadful 20-game losing streak with a win against Toronto on March 22nd. It's so unfortunate for Houston fans as they came into the 2021 season with high hopes. Acquiring John Wall in the offseason was supposed to catapult this team to another level.
Things took a huge turn when they received Oladipo in the Harden deal and just shipped him off to Miami at the deadline for absolutely nothing. They let PJ Tucker go as well. This thin roster is led by emerging big man Christian Wood. Wood missed the teams last loss, but is expected to return to the court against Brooklyn. This is a great sign for Houston as they get to face-off against a Durantless Nets squad. Houston is hoping to just cover against a Brooklyn team that is 2-7 ATS in their last nine.
Why The Nets Could Cover The Spread
The Brooklyn Nets are scorching lately despite having to play without their best player. Kevin Durant has been out for the last 20 games and the Nets are still 18-2 in that stretch. They are undoubtedly the hottest team in the NBA right now. With no KD and Kyrie for stretches, James Harden has returned to MVP form in a resounding way. In the teams last win against Minnesota, Harden put up his twelfth triple-double with 38 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds.
He has received major help from Kyrie when he decides to play as well. Irving has been phenomenal for the Nets this season, averaging 28.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game in 2021. Brooklyn has been the most efficient offensive team in the league this year, shooting 50% from the field. They are also the third best three-point shooting team in the NBA as well. Houston is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 and the Nets have won four of their last five.

Let's not sugarcoat it, the disparity in this matchup is out of this world. There will be a blowout at the Barclay's Center. The Brooklyn Nets don't play around in matchup's like these.
