Why The Warriors Can Cover The Spread

Golden State has head and shoulders been the best team in the NBA this season, and the numbers back that up soundly. Start with the Warriors' league-best +12.7 net rating that is nearly five points better than the second best team so far in 2021-22. Curry's shooting gets a lot of the hype (deservedly so) but it is Golden State's defense that has allowed them to be a juggernaut this season. The Warriors are allowing just 99.3 points per 100 possessions this season, tops in the NBA. Draymond Green has been spry, and the return of Andre Iguodala has unlocked lineup magic of the past. Young players Jordan Poole, Gary Payton II and Moses Moody have provided energy and a nice offensive punch at times, helping round out could be a special Warriors group.

The Warriors will still be without Klay Thompson and James Wiseman in Brooklyn on Tuesday. Golden State is 8-4-1 vs. the spread this season.

Why The Nets Can Cover The Spread

Kevin Durant and James Harden is a good start to covering any spread. However, the Nets will be missing a few rotation pieces on Tuesday. Joe Harris, Nic Claxton and Paul Millsap are all listed as out for Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors. This means the Nets lean heavier on guys like Lamarcus Aldridge and Patty Mills to play a few more minutes off the bench. Harris went down with an injury in the Nets' last game, so it will interesting to see who replaces him in the starting lineup. The Nets rank ninth in the NBA with a +4.7 net rating. Brooklyn sits in the upper third of the league in both offensive and defensive efficiency. The Nets are 7-7 against the spread this season.

Final Warriors-Nets Prediction & Pick

The Warriors lost Sunday vs. the Charlotte Hornets, and they have not lost back-to-back games yet this season. The Nets are without three of their top eight or nine players on Tuesday, in addition to the continue absence of Kyrie Irving. Take the Warriors to cover the spread as underdogs in Brooklyn on Tuesday night.

FINAL WARRIORS-NETS PREDICTION & PICK: Warriors +3 (-110)
