February is here and the NBA continues on Tuesday night! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Wizards-Bucks prediction and pick.
The Washington Wizards come into this matchup losing five-straight games. They fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 115-95 last time out. Washington is now (23-26) on the season which puts them 11th in the Eastern Conference. The Milwaukee Bucks are (31-21) on the year and that slides them into the 5th seed in the East. Milwaukee is coming off of a blowout loss to the surging Denver Nuggets Sunday night.

Why The Wizards Could Cover The Spread
Bradley Beal will be out with a sprained wrist so the Wizards' chances of winning this game goes out the door. But with a spread this high, they still have a chance. Normally I wouldn't even give them the chance to cover this spread without Beal, but the Bucks are coming off an embarrassing loss that could carry over to tonight. The Wizards must do what they can to shut down the Bucks' big three as the Nuggets did. The Nuggets held Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday to a combined 23 points which is not an easy thing to do. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 but that was one of his average games finishing with just nine rebounds to go along with it. If the Wizards can find a way to defend well then they will have a chance to cover this spread, but it won't be easy.
Why The Bucks Could Cover The Spread
Milwaukee needs a bounceback game and this is the perfect time for it. Washington is on the verge of losing six-straight games and without Beal, they won't have much going for them offensively. For the Bucks on the defensive end, they just need to find a way to contain Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie. Furthermore, there are some talks going on about Dinwiddie that could result in him being traded in the near future. Washington is slowly falling apart and it looks like they will fall hard once again. Milwaukee just needs to focus on the offensive end because they shouldn't be allowing many points tonight. If Middleton and Holiday have bounceback games then I just can't see how the Bucks won't cover this spread. 11 points is a large spread but the defending Champs are more than capable of doing so.

This should be an easy pick. Both teams are coming off of bad losses but the Bucks have the talent to win this game by 11. Take the Bucks and hope that all of the Bucks' big three are on their game.
