The Golden State Warriors aim to become the third team in the past decade to win consecutive NBA titles when they hit the floor on Saturday for the opening game of their first-round series with the San Antonio Spurs as short +135 favorites on the NBA championship odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Golden State endured some adversity down the stretch, including an injury to two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry, and has tallied just seven straight-up wins in 17 outings ahead of Saturday afternoon's Game 1 betting matchup.

However, the Warriors are on a dominant 8-1 SU run against the Spurs, including a four-game sweep in last spring's Western Conference Finals, and sit as heavy -1250 favorites on the NBA playoff series prices to once again knock off San Antonio.

The Spurs have a mountain to climb as they take on Golden State as +850 series underdogs. Currently a +6000 bet on the NBA futures after opening the campaign at +1500, San Antonio suffered SU losses in its final eight road dates, and its 14-27 SU road record is the worst of any team in this year's playoffs.

The Houston Rockets closely trail the Warriors at +160 on the NBA championship odds, ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers at +650, and the Eastern-leading Toronto Raptors at +850.

The Rockets led the NBA with 65 wins and are pegged as steep -2200 series favorites in their first-round matchup with Minnesota. Houston has taken six straight from Minnesota, but the Timberwolves dominated in their final three outings, and make their first playoff appearance in 18 years as pressure-free +12500 championship longshots.

The Cavaliers could have their hands full as they take on Indiana as strong -650 favorites on the NBA series prices, while top-seeded Toronto battles the Washington Wizards as heavy -590 chalk.

The Cavaliers buried their early-season inconsistency with a solid 11-3 SU stretch run, but dropped three of four this season to the Pacers, who lag as +500 series underdogs. Toronto looks for its first-ever Game 1 win on home court as 8-point chalk on Saturday but Washington has claimed victory in two of its past three visits to Air Canada Centre.

Elsewhere on the NBA series prices, the red-hot Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as -470 favorites in their clash with the Miami Heat, while the hobbled Boston Celtics battle the Milwaukee Bucks as slim -135 chalk.

Over in the Western Conference, the Portland Trail Blazers edge out the New Orleans Pelicans as -190 favorites, while the Oklahoma City Thunder open as -140 favorites in their opening-round matchup with the Utah Jazz.
