The NBA has made a decision on the controversial technical foul called on Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo during the fourth quarter of Game 1 versus the Toronto Raptors.

It can be recalled that The Greek Freak emphatically blocked the layup attempt of DeMar DeRozan, which caused him to react by punching the air, as he knew it was a huge play from his end. However, to his surprise, he was called for a technical foul despite not doing anything to deserve it.

After reviewing the incident, the NBA has decided to rescind the technical foul called on Antetokounmpo. It is a huge development as he will be further away from an automatic suspension once a player is called for his 16th of the season.

The 22-year-old All-Star has been the Bucks' best player all-season long, and is having a career year, with averages of 22.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. With his ability to play multiple positions on both ends of the floor, he has become one of the toughest matchups in the league today. Antetokounmpo's importance to the team goes beyond the numbers he is producing, and the Milwaukee faithful will definitely be pleased knowing that the technical foul called on him has now been cancelled as the Bucks cannot afford to play without him or even when he's distracted and not at his best.
