The Miami Heat are reportedly sending Goran Dragic to the Toronto Raptors as part of the sign-and-trade deal for veteran guard Kyle Lowry. However, it seems Dragic has no intentions of staying with the Canada-based NBA franchise.

According to Michael Grange of Sportsnet, Dragic's first choice after the Lowry deal is finalized and completed is to be re-routed to the Dallas Mavericks where he can join his countryman, NBA superstar Luka Doncic.

Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press corroborated the report and noted that the 35-year-old would “obviously” be interested in joining the Mavs. Not to mention that Dallas recently hired former Slovenia coach Igor Kokoskov to the coaching staff.

It remains to be seen if the Mavs will make a move for Goran Dragic; however, it is a possible scenario since the team missed out on their key point guard targets at the wild start of the NBA free agency.

Aside from Lowry, whom the Mavs were interested in before he committed to the Heat, Mike Conley and Lonzo Ball were other targets for the Texas NBA franchise. Unfortunately, Lonzo agreed to a deal with the Chicago Bulls, while Conley decided to stay with the Utah Jazz.

The free agency is only getting started, and a lot of moves and trades can happen in the next few days until deals can be made official on Friday, August  6.
