LaMarcus Aldridge abruptly retired midway through the 2020-21 season due to a heart condition. However, it looks like the veteran big man is not ready to give up to his NBA career just yet.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Aldridge is “seriously considering” a possible NBA comeback after a medical consultation–which suggests that his condition is improving. However, as Woj noted, the 36-year-old needs to get a medical clearance from the team he's signing to be able to play.

It's unknown which teams are interested in bringing him back, but the report stated he is set to have discussions with individual teams in the next few weeks.

LaMarcus Aldridge signed with the Brooklyn Nets last March after the San Antonio Spurs failed to trade him and eventually agreed to a buyout. He played in just five games for Brooklyn before his sudden NBA retirement, though, averaging 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

After his shocking exit, no one thought he would consider coming back since his heart issue could be problematic if he continues playing. In his letter to announce his retirement, he mentioned that what he felt was “one of the scariest things” he has ever experienced.
