Acclaimed sports journalist Ric Bucher has a bold claim on the future destination of star guard Kyrie Irving. While on Colin Cowherd's radio show, he insisted that the Boston Celtic's star would either be headed to the Los Angeles Lakers or the Brooklyn Nets, citing the fact that Irving just bought a home in New Jersey as evidence:

Kyrie Irving heading to either of those destinations would shake up the NBA power rankings.

Heading out west to rejoin LeBron James was originally thought to be a long shot, but rumors have continued to fly that Irving is considering the move. James and Irving were teammates in Cleveland for three years and won a championship together.

However, the relationship was rumored to have soured when Kyrie Irving demanded a trade from Cleveland. This is why most considered Irving to the Lakers a long shot, but it's possible he could be ready to try for another ring with his current team's biggest historical rival.

The Nets seem a more likely destination. Even thought hey already have an All-Star at point guard in D'Angelo Russell, the Nets could use one of the two in a shooting guard role in a smaller starting lineup. Adding Irving to the already talented Nets roster could take the team to new heights after they were knocked out this year in the first round of the playoffs.

Wherever Kyrie Irving signs, the team will get an immense amount of scoring talent and a proven All-Star quality player.
