NBA 2K started revealing NBA 2K22 player ratings a couple of days ago. We got ourselves our top NBA 2K22 player ratings from their reveals. While the likes of Lebron James, Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Durant scored highest with 96, the 2K devs haven't been too kind with everyone. Of course, NBA 2K ratings always are a subject to debate whenever they get raised. Both players and stars alike may have a different idea of what the NBA 2K22 player ratings should be. Sometimes their reactions are pure bitterness, but sometimes they're just straight-up hilarious. Here are some of the funniest and most memorable reactions so far:
NBA 2K22 ratings are too low for Lebron James
Nah! Should be 99! 🤷🏾♂️
— LeBron James (@KingJames) August 18, 2021
Let's start from the top. NBA 2K22 player ratings were highest for Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Giannis Antetokounmpo at 96. However, King James didn't think these numbers are fair. No, he thinks these numbers are too low! Well, for Steph and KD at least. On some posts previewing the three's scores, Lebron replies to them saying that they should be at 99. That's some class act, if anything, thinking that the folks with the same player rating as you should be even higher. However, when NBA 2K asked King James what he thinks his own player rating should be, they were answered with…. silence.
NBA Star Kevin Durant thinks he should have a 99

One person who definitely agrees with Lebron's opinion is KD himself. While the last time an active player received a 99 was all the way back NBA 2K14, Kevin Durant thinks he should have gotten a 99 this year. While many fans made fun of him in the replies, at least his team the Brooklyn Nets was all out in supporting their star.
Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young displeased with the 89
😂😂😂 feel like we do this every year… y’all ever gonna get it right?!🤔😂 #CantPlayItYet 💆🏽💯 😂😂😂 https://t.co/kXbQZ4V8dq
— Trae Young (@TheTraeYoung) August 18, 2021
Trae Young is one of the players who's never satisfied with what they get. Chalk it up to arrogance or just plain hunger for excellence, but this year's no exception to Trae's disappointment. “feel like we do this every year…” tweets Trae Young. “y’all ever gonna get it right?!”
Jayson Tatum thinks he should at least get a 92

Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum was asked by NBA 2K to give his opinion on what his NBA 2K player rating should be, right before they tell him what his player rating actually is. Keeping with tradition, he gave three numbers: what he thinks his rating was at the end of last season (91), the lowest he should get this season (92), and what he thinks he should have at the end of the next season (95). Those are some high numbers! So, you can tell the disappointment in his face when they told him he got a 90.
“I don't know how we keep going backwards,” says Tatum. “I tied Larry Birds' record.”
But Tatum's not at all discouraged, but instead is taking this as a challenge.
WNBA's Candace Parker wants a 99!

Finally, WNBA's cover athlete Candace Parker thinks she should lead and get a 99 this year! Talking to Ronnie 2K, she says:
“I'm trying to get a necklace. A 99 necklace.”
She got a 93, which she says is “close.” “Just need a couple more buckets,” says Parker. That's the spirit!
