After a career-year with the Toronto Raptors, Norman Powell is on his way out. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Raps have traded Powell to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Gary Trent Jr and Rodney Hood.

Powell has been arguably one of Toronto's best players this season and with the organization out of the playoff picture currently, the former UCLA standout's value couldn't be higher.

Almost half of the league was interested in the 27-year old swingman, but the Blazers were the ones able to get a deal across the line. As for Trent Jr, he's also had a terrific year in Portland, helping Damian Lillard and co. stay afloat in the Western Conference playoff picture with CJ McCollum having missed substantial time due to a foot injury.

Trent Jr. is averaging 15 points per night this season and should add a spark to the Raptors' offense in place of Powell. Hood can offer shooting off the bench for Toronto as well.

But, the winner here certainly seems to be the Blazers. Powell's 19.6 points per game and 44% clip from downtown made him one of the most coveted players on the trading block and Portland is lucky enough to have acquired him as they look to climb their way up the Western Conference standings.
