The Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly trading Evan Turner to the Atlanta Hawks for Kent Bazemore, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Turner has one year left on his contract. He'll make $18,606,557 next season. The same goes for Bazemore, who will earn $19,269,662 in 2019-20.

This past season with the Blazers, Evan Turner averaged 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 46.0 percent from the field, 21.2 percent from beyond the arc and 70.8 percent from the free-throw line. The swingman only put up 2.7 points in the 2019 playoffs. The Blazers made it to the Western Conference Finals, but got swept by the Golden State Warriors.

For the Hawks, Kent Bazemore averaged 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He shot 40.2 percent overall, 32.0 percent from the 3-point line and 72.6 percent from the charity stripe.

The Blazers won this reported trade. Bazemore is a better scorer and shooter than Turner. Bazemore will spread the floor well for Portland, while Turner gives the Hawks another ball handler in the pick and roll game. Atlanta drafted Duke small forward Cam Reddish in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Blazers took Nassir Little.

Portland will try and make another run next season. The Warriors are likely going to be a depleted team in 2019-20 with Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant hurt.
