Andre Drummond will likely remain with the Detroit Pistons beyond Thursday's 3:00 p.m. ET trade deadline, according to a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Drummond, now 26 years of age, is no stranger to trade rumors. The Pistons center has heard in name in these sorts of discussions for the past four years. This season has been no different, but the former UConn standout says he's staying focused on the task at hand and controlling what he can:

“It’s all that matters,” Andre Drummond said, via MLive.com. “I think we all came to the realization that we can’t control what happens. At the end of the day, we have to keep putting this jersey on until that time comes or it comes. So we just have to keep playing to the best of our abilities, play hard and whatever happens, happens.

“I’ve been hearing that for the past four years,' Drummond said of trade talk. “So it doesn’t faze me. But you know, I saw it did for other guys in the locker room, but for me just keep playing until whatever happens, happens.”

Drummond, who has a $28.8 million player option for next season, is enjoying a fine season, though the Pistons (19-34 overall) are not. In his 49 appearances (48 starts), he has racked up averages of 17.8 points on 53.0 percent shooting from the field, a career-high 15.8 rebounds, 2,8 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks in 33.8 minutes per outing.

Several teams were said to be interested in Drummond ahead of this season's trade deadline, including the Hawks, Knicks and Mavericks (to name a few). Yet, he remains on the roster. The Hawks recently landed Clint Capela as part of a four-team trade, as well as Dewayne Dedmon from the Sacramento Kings, so they're out of the center market.

If Drummond is not traded and declines his option, he'll become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Pistons are said to be looking for a first-round pick for his services, but no deals of their liking have come to fruition.
