Along with the Atlanta Hawks, the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors also have interest in trading for Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond, according to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.

Drummond has a player option worth $28.8 million for the 2020-21 season with the Pistons. If he declines, the All-Star big man would become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends.

Drummond is averaging 17.6 points, 15.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 blocks per game this season for the Pistons, who are 12-23. Andre is shooting 53.7 percent from the field and 61.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pistons could and probably should embark on a rebuild and trade Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose after moving Drummond, assuming they find a deal which works for them. The Pistons, barring some miracle turnaround, don’t figure to make the playoffs this season after making it in 2018-19 for the first time since 2016. They got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, mostly because Griffin only played in Games 3 and 4 due to a knee injury which he had surgery on this past summer.

The Celtics have been linked to Drummond in the past since they need a stable big man after losing Al Horford in free agency to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Mavs and Raptors, meanwhile, are likely trying to acquire more talent so they can make a run to the NBA Finals once the postseason starts.

Drummond has career averages of 14.3 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists with the Pistons. He's one of the best rim-rollers and rebounders in the game.
