As the trade is already upon the NBA, teams are scrambling to get a deal done that will boost their chances of making the playoffs. One of the biggest commodities that teams are targeting is Detroit Pistons guard Derrick Rose.

According to Yahoo Sports' Vincent Goodwill, the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz have reached out to the Pistons in the hopes of acquiring the scoring 31-year-old guard.

Rose is a terrific offensive option regardless of his rotation, so it's understandable why teams are interested in acquiring his services.

However, Rose doesn't want to leave the Pistons until the end of the season. This gives the Motor City front office a lot of leverage with negotiations.

Derrick Rose doesn’t want to be traded from the Detroit Pistons despite widespread interest, and barring an unforeseen offer, he’ll be a Piston for the remainder of the season, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Derrick Rose is playing terrific basketball for the Pistons. His season averages of 18.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists a game easily make him one of the most valuable trade assets for Detroit.

Moreover, the fact that three contenders believe he would be able to boost their title chances is enough proof how well he has been playing this campaign.

The Lakers need a leader to help with the second unit, while the Clippers need another scorer to get buckets whenever Paul George or Kawhi Leonard is out of commission. On the other hand, the Jazz need all the offensive help they can get, and Derrick Rose fits the bill.

The 31-year-old Rose has effectively revitalized his NBA career, and the Pistons will be walking away happier if they do decide to part ways with the Chicago native.
