The Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons reportedly haven't discussed a trade centered around All-Star power forward Blake Griffin, according to Mike Fisher of DallasBasketball.com.

The Pistons have been a disappointment this season and there have been rumors circulating that Blake Griffin is upset in Detroit.

However, it doesn't appear a trade between the Mavs and Pistons is going to take place.

The Pistons acquired Griffin last season from the LA Clippers. The high-flyer is putting up monster numbers this season, but Detroit is just 21-27 entering Tuesday and out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

Griffin is averaging 26.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game this season for the Pistons. The five-time All-Star is shooting 48.2 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from beyond the arc and 76.0 percent from the free-throw line.

DeAndre Jordan, Griffin's ex-Clippers teammate, is on the Mavs. Dallas has been rumored to be wanting to trade point guard Dennis Smith Jr. and the Pistons are trying to get off Reggie Jackson's contract. The NBA trade deadline is Feb 7.

Griffin is making $31,873,932 this campaign. He signed a five-year, $171.2 million contract with the Clippers in July of 2017, but then LA shipped him off to Detroit six months later.
