The Houston Rockets are desperately trying to make a move ahead of the NBA trade deadline, and with Clint Capela potentially on the move, the Rockets will need to get back a center in return.

According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, Houston has its sights set on Golden State Warriors big man Kevon Looney in a potential multi-team deal.

Earlier on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowksi of ESPN reported that the Rockets, Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves were discussing a blockbuster deal that would send D'Angelo Russell to the Timberwolves, Capela to the Hawks and Robert Covington to Houston. It's not clear what Golden State would receive, though there's a good chance it would be Andrew Wiggins and a valuable package of draft picks.

Because trading away Capela would leave the Rockets pretty bare up front, they would potentially want Looney in the deal, which certainly makes sense.

Of course, four-team deals like this are incredibly complicated and rarely make it to the finish line, so it remains to be seen what happens over the next 48 hours.

But one thing is for sure: Houston does not appear to be satisfied with its roster and wants to make some changes.

The Rockets are in need of a 3-and-D forward, which is where Covington comes into play (ironically enough, Covington began his career in Houston as an undrafted free agent back in 2013-14).

As for Looney, the 6-foot-9 big man just re-signed with the Warriors on a three-year, $15 million deal this past summer, making him a rather terrific bargain on the interior.

Obviously, whether or not Golden State would actually be willing to trade Looney, who just made his return after missing extensive time due to an abdominal injury, is a big question, especially considering the Dubs just dealt away Willie Cauley-Stein.
