The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly interested in acquiring James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets, according to multiple sources.

According to the latest reports, Harden will be moved to the Sixers in exchange for Ben Simmons. It's a risky move for the Nets to trade him for Simmons, but if Philadelphia can pull it off, they'll be well on their way to possibly winning an NBA title. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are clearly not a good fit for one other, as seen by their postseason performance last season. Bringing in someone like Harden next to Embiid would be nearly unstoppable.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sixers are looking to trade Simmons for Harden, and many people around the league think it is a possibility,

“At the end of the day, it’s Harden all the way,” said a league source, speaking on condition of anonymity. “They want Harden whether they get him now. Whether they get him on a forced sign-and-trade this summer.”

If the Sixers try to make this trade, it would make a lot of sense for them to do so. It could be difficult to obtain Harden right now because the Nets believe their big three has a strong chance of winning an NBA title, and those feelings are well-founded.

Philadelphia may have a better chance of obtaining James Harden over the offseason, and it is possible that they may pursue this option.
