The NBA trade deadline is approaching, and there are certain to be a slew of trade suggestions about Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia Sixers, including this one, which may be the weirdest yet.

Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the Sacramento Kings are interested in dealing for the Sixers forward, Ben Simmons.

According to Pompey,

“One source said Sacramento has considered packaging Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes and 2 1st-round picks for Simmons, Harris and Thybulle. However, the source said the Sixers aren’t interested in that package.”

From the Kings' standpoint, this would be an interesting trade option because if they chose to move all of these players, they may not receive the return they desire from the Sixers. Philadelphia has clearly held out in the hopes of obtaining a top-25 player, which the Kings are unwilling to provide unless they include a player like De'Aaron Fox in the trade.

The Sixers would be much more interested if the Kings included Fox in the trade and removed someone like Buddy Hield.

It will be intriguing to watch what deal the Sixers and Ben Simmons finally strike, but there is a potential that this may not happen before or around the trade deadline. Many rumors claim that if the Sixers do not obtain the player they want, they will keep him until the summer.

This is one of the more interesting offers, but there are bound to be many more in the coming weeks.
