As the trade deadline draws closer, teams that want to be buyers naturally become a bit antsier when the trigger has yet to be pulled on any moves. As a result of this, more and more names start popping up as teams do their due diligence to check in with other teams. One name that didn't have a lot of steam but all of a sudden does: Oklahoma City Thunder point guard George Hill.

According to Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, the Sixers, Lakers, and Clippers have also shown interest in Hill and OKC simply wants draft compensation in return.

“Hill's name has emerged more and more in conversations among team executives. Both Los Angeles teams and Philadelphia have expressed interest, according to league sources. The Thunder's asking price appears clear. They're willing to [both] take back and trade salary for draft compensation,” one Western Conference official said.

Philadelphia has a first-round pick at their disposal, but would they part with it for George Hill? Odds are the pick will be in the back end of the first round, as the 76ers currently sit atop the Eastern Conference. So, they have to juggle with trying to figure out how much they value the pick compared to adding someone like Hill.

The Lakers and the Clippers, on the other hand, may be hoping for a buyout situation to come to fruition with Hill. However, it's worth noting that this isn't how Sam Presti has typically dealt with situations of similar standing in past years with the organization.

With all three teams looking to add insurance and a boost at point guard, George Hill is a name to keep eyes on.
