Washington Wizards big man Davis Bertans is a hot commodity with the trade deadline closing in, but if a team is going to acquire him, it is going to have to pay through the nose.

According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, the Wizards are asking for two first-round draft picks in return for Bertans, which probably means he won't be going anywhere.

O'Connor notes that the Boston Celtics, who have three 2020 first-round picks at their disposal this season, have expressed interest in the sharpshooter, but given that Bertans will be a free agent at the end of the year, it's hard to imagine the Celtics (or anyone) pulling the trigger.

In 40 games this season, Bertans is averaging 15.0 points and 4.6 rebounds over 29.3 minutes per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor, 42.9 percent from 3-point range and 87.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Wizards acquired Bertans in an offseason trade with the San Antonio Spurs, as the Spurs were trying to clear space to sign Marcus Morris at the time. Of course, Morris ultimately reneged on his deal with San Antonio and signed with the New York Knicks.

Bertans was originally selected by the Indiana Pacers in the second round (42nd pick overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft but was immediately traded to San Antonio in a deal that also sent Kawhi Leonard to the Spurs.

The 27-year-old eventually made his NBA debut in 2016-17.

In four NBA seasons, Bertans owns career averages of 7.6 points and 2.7 boards across 18.1 minutes a night while making 44.2 percent of his field goal attempts, 41.1 percent of his long-distance tries and 85.6 percent of his foul shots.
