ESPN's Chauncey Billups did not hesitate to call out his co-panelist Paul Pierce after the latter once turned down the notion of Isaiah Thomas deserving a tribute from the Boston Celtics.

Chauncey Billups, also a former Celtics player, reminded The Truth about who let him get his last shot off in front of a sold-out crowd at the TD Garden — quickly showing him a clip of Thomas giving him a gentleman's contest of his 3-point shot before Pierce was inundated with cheers from the local crowd.

Thomas gives Pierce about three feet of space before lightly raising his arm to contest a 3-pointer, enough airspace for the Celtics icon to drain it, to the delight of the crowd.

The exchange between the two former NBA All-Stars went like this:

Pierce: “He challenged my shot.”

Billups: “A 5'9″ guy can't challenge your shot.”

Pierce: “The game was over.”

Billups: “Aw, look who gives him love! (upon seeing Thomas hug Pierce at the end of the game). But when it was IT's time for you to give him love, you didn't let him get a tribute video. C'mon man! This dude let you get your last bucket off at home.”

Having exposed Pierce, the Celtics icon had no option but to own it in the last few seconds of the clip.

“I'm not gonna sit out here and let you guys double team me,” said Pierce. “That was my night. If y'all don't like it, then oh well.”

It didn't take long for the Draymond Green GIFs to start rolling around, so here is one for the sake of fitting conversation. Sorry, Paul.
