In a rare event, Doc Rivers and Jim Boylen are both ejected in the third quarter of the LA Clippers' game against the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center.

The incident happened with a little over a minute remaining in the penultimate period. Rivers and Boylen got into a heated exchange of words after Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell was called for an offensive foul for his screen.

According to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Boylen had some choice words for Harrell following the foul. Rivers, the ever-passionate coach he is, stood up and defended his player against the angry Bulls tactician.

Things escalated quickly from there, eventually ending up with the two coaches getting sent off.

Doc Rivers was clearly shocked with what happened, especially that he is only defending his player from Jim Boylen.

A coach being tossed out is no longer new to the NBA. The likes of Golden State Warriors' Steve Kerr and reigning Coach of the Year Dwane Casey have both been ejected this season.

However, getting both coaches in a game ejected like what happened to Rivers and Boylen isn't something you see everyday. Even more fitting, it happened in Hollywood, where drama never really stops.

Fortunately for the Doc and his Clips, they got the last laugh as they beat the visiting Chicago team, 128-121.
