Everyone knew that Drake would be in the building when the Toronto Raptors would face the Los Angeles Clippers at the Scotiabank Arena. And the moment the game started, all eyes were on Champagne Papi and Patrick Beverley.

The two were some of the most talkative individuals in the basketball community, and fans were definitely looking forward to the interaction between the two. And the moment the two did trade some barbs, SLAM was all over it as they covered it on their Twitter profile.

Given how passionate the Toronto-based rapper and the Los Angeles Clippers guard is, it would have been easy for either of them to get personal with their insults. It was quite fortunate for everyone in the building that it didn't escalate into anything that would have meant for the two of them to trade more than just verbal blows.

And it was good that their little exchange didn't take away from the spotlight that was fixated on Kawhi Leonard. After all, the North still hasn't fully thanked the Klaw for all of the things he did in Toronto during the single year he played that led to a surprising run to the title.

The Raptors arranged an elaborate yet touching tribute to Kawhi. It included tracing back the steps he took to finish the now-immortalized buzzer-beater over Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semis.

The Clippers eventually took down the Raptors, 112-92, behind Kawhi Leonard's 23 points, five rebounds, and six assists. However, there was a general air of cheer between the two sides as they celebrated Kawhi's legacy in the city.
