If nothing else, Jimmer Fredette is always exciting. The former BYU star and lottery pick never panned out in the NBA, but he's still shocking fans with nifty plays. In The Basketball Tournament, Fredette stole the ball from his man and dribbled the ball through fellow former NBAer, Jared Sullinger's legs.

Fredette then led the breakout and dished for a wide open corner three. The Glens Falls native was certainly a disappointment in the NBA, but man oh man it is always fun to watch him play.

The Basketball Tournament is a winner-take-all tournament in its fifth year. Former college players and players that play professionally overseas are a fixture in TBT. In fact, Fredette's team is mostly made up of former college players. Sullinger's team is mostly made up of former Ohio State players.

Team Fredette advanced to the semifinals and will face off against Eberlein Drive who feature a handful of former NBA players. On the other side of the bracket, Overseas Elite square off against the Golden Eagles, a majority of which are former Marquette players.

Overseas Elite is the three-time defending champion, looking to win a fourth straight.

Although the game is a bit sloppier than fans are used to seeing in college and NBA games, it's an exciting brand of basketball to watch. Teams tend to run and gun which leads to high scoring affairs.

The semifinals are on Aug. 2 starting at 7:00 p.m. EDT and the final will be played the following day at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
