Klay Thompson and Zach Collins got caught up in a tense moment during the Golden State Warriors-Portland Trail Blazers game Wednesday night in Oregon.

With the game turning out to be a close affair near the midway mark of the fourth quarter, Thompson barreled his way to the basket and was whistled for a charge on Collins, who sprawled on the floor after the hit.

The All-Star shooting guard was no fan of Collins' defensive play and had sweet nothings to his Blazers opponent. The young big man won't be outdone as he returned the favor with words of his own.

Fortunately, the two heated players got separated before things got ugly. Well, it really toed the line as Collins was seen giving Jonas Jerebko a slight shove and, of course, Draymond Green was within the vicinity of it all.

The Blazers had the last laugh, downing the Warriors at home to the score of 129-107.

Damian Lillard led the way for Portland with his 29 points, three rebounds, and eight assists. He received a surplus of support with seven teammates scoring in double figures.

The MVP tandem of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry paced the defending champions, scoring 32 apiece. Thompson, who hurt his finger Tuesday night, had an abysmal performance, coughing up nine points on a woeful 2-of-16 shooting from the field. He did collect seven helpers, but they weren't enough.
