The genetics are strong in Nick Young's family.

Young posted an Instagram video of his son playing in a youth basketball game on Sunday, with Nick Jr. arcing a rainbow jumper and celebrating all the way back down the court:

Of course, Nick Jr.'s dad is one of the most memeable and exuberant players in NBA history, and his antics gave rise to one of the best sports GIFs in recent memory:

Pretty legendary stuff right there.

The last two years have been somewhat of an “in-and-out” for Young himself. He played just four games for the Denver Nuggets last season after winning an NBA title with the Golden State Warriors in 2018, and he is currently without an NBA contract.

Young said back in October that he will retire if he is not picked up before the end of the year (via Adam Caparell of Complex Sports):

What would it take to be fully retired though? I mean, to put in your paperwork with the NBA.
This is pretty much like my last year, if nothing happened. I'm just going to call it, it's over. No more Swaggy P.

If this is truly the end of the line for Young, he has had a whirlwind of a career. Young currently boasts career averages of 11.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game across 12 seasons in the NBA.

But even if Young retires, this may not be the end of the “Swaggy P” line. Maybe one day NBA fans will see Nick Jr. show the same kind of flair and charisma as his father.
