Vince Carter showed everyone he still has the hops that once crowned him NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion in 2000, returning to the very arena that saw him ascend as one of the best high-flyers of all-time in Oracle Arena.

The 42-year-old, formerly known as “Half-Man, Half-Amazing,” showed glimpses of his “Vinsanity” in a dress shirt and slacks, throwing down a reverse dunk with ease before smiling back at the camera.

Some things just never get old, and it appears Vince Carter is one of them.

Oracle, which was formerly known simply as The Arena in Oakland from 1997-2005, was home to some of the most thunderous dunks ever witnessed in the contest's history — as Carter threw down alongside some of the best dunkers in the game like Steve Francis, Ricky Davis, and his own cousin, Tracy McGrady.

Carter recently announced that the 2019-20 season will be the last of his career, which will mark the 22nd season in which the 6-foot-6 gravity-defying veteran will suit up for an NBA team. It will be a sad day in the league when he plays his final game.

The Florida native will be 43 years old by the time he chooses to retire, having spent his last two seasons as a mentor for the Sacramento Kings and most recently, the Atlanta Hawks.

Vince Carter likely still has a few more dunks left in his legs, providing some nostalgic, yet effusive memories of the athlete and showman he once was during his illustrious NBA career.
