The 2021 NFL Draft is going to be littered with talented quarterbacks. One of the incoming prospects has declared for the draft. With concerns about COVID-19 pushing the college football season until next spring, Trey Lance has left North Dakota State to focus on the 2021 NFL Draft.

Of course, the No. 1 quarterback prospect in next year's NFL draft will be Trevor Lawrence, the gifted signal-caller from Clemson. Besides Lawrence, Trey Lance is regarded as one of the best quarterback prospects that will be available in 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, North Dakota State won't be conducting their season until next Spring. And with the NFL draft happening next Spring as well, Trey Lance believes it is best to shift his focus to going pro.

Trey Lance, a redshirt sophomore, only played in 17 games in his collegiate career, finishing with a 17-0 record with the Bisons. The dual-threat quarterback played in North Dakota State's lone game in the fall against Arkansas State last Saturday.

In his final game in the NCAA, Lance threw two touchdowns, one interception, and he also rushed for two touchdowns. After defeating Arkansas State, Trey Lance finished with 30 passing touchdowns and just one interception in his 17 games. He would also score 18 rushing touchdowns over the span of those 17 games.

Standing at 6-foot-4, listed at nearly 230 pounds, Trey Lance is the prototypical athletic quarterback that teams are looking for. Though, despite his success at North Dakota State, there are still question marks surrounding his skill set as he embarks on his journey to enter the pros through the NFL Draft.

Even though there are uncertainties in his game, Trey Lance is likely going to hear his name called on day one of the 2021 NFL Draft.
