This may very well be the evenest matchup of the Round of 32 as the Colorado Buffaloes take on the Florida State Seminoles on Monday night. This is the only four vs. five seeded game in the second round and is separated by just one point according to oddsmakers. It will be a fun affair with a lot of offense. Both teams have been great all year and will battle it out for a trip to the Sweet Sixteen. It’s time to continue the NCAA odds series and make a Colorado-Florida State prediction and pick.

Here is how the sportsbooks set the odds for this game.

NCAA Odds: Colorado-Florida State Odds

Colorado Buffaloes +1.5 (-110)

Florida State Seminoles -1.5 (-110)

Over 140.5 (-110)

Under 140.5 (-11o)

Why Colorado Could Cover the Spread

Colorado had a remarkable victory against Georgetown, defeating the 12-seeded Hoyas by 23 points on Saturday in the first round. They got out to a huge lead and never looked back. The Buffaloes had four players in double figures, with Jabari Walker leading the way. Walker had 24 points on an astounding 9-of-10 shooting from the field. With McKinley Wright IV putting up a double-double in the win as well, it's no surprise that the line has moved in Colorado's favor.

Colorado shot 16-of-25 from behind the arc in the impressive victory. They are shooting the lights out and will almost certainly continue to do so on Monday night. The most impressive statistic that this team possesses is their turnover per game percentage. At just 11.1%, the Buffaloes play one of the cleanest styles of basketball in the country. They enter this matchup having won seven of their last eight games and going 5-2 ATS in their last seven.

Why Florida State Could Cover the Spread

Florida State had an impressive 64-54 victory over UNCG on Saturday. What impressed me most was the way that Florida State was able to will its way to victory. This had to be one of the Seminoles' worst offensive performances of the season. Florida State made zero 3-point field goals on nine attempts. This was certainly a fluke because this team finished with the seventh-highest 3-point percentage in the land in 2021. They still managed to shoot 52% from the field in their first-round victory.

Leading scorer M.J. Walker (13 ppg) was also off in the Seminoles win. He scored just four points but was picked up by three teammates scoring over twelve points each. This uncharacteristic game will not be replicated and I am very intrigued by the fact that they were still able to pull off a double-digit victory in the tournament. For a team that has averaged 78.9 points per game this season, I see no reason why the ‘Noles won't bounce back in a big way. They collectively shoot 39% from beyond the arc and will put on a shooting clinic against the Buffaloes.

Final Colorado-Florida State Prediction & Pick

I am predicting a high-scoring affair between these two teams on Monday night. Colorado has been so efficient and electrifying on the offensive end of late and we all know what Florida State's group is capable of. The 3-point efficiency is what is really appealing to me. Colorado shot the lights out against Georgetown and has shown no signs of slowing down. Florida State has one of the most explosive offenses in the nation and is in a prime bounce-back spot with a day to prepare. M.J. Walker will light up the scoreboard and catapult this game over the total.

FINAL PICK: Over 140.5
