First-time All-Star D'Angelo Russell and Rising Stars Challenge selection Jarrett Allen aren't the only players who will represent the Brooklyn Nets at All-Star weekend. Shooting gyard Joe Harris will also join his teammates in Charlotte, participating in the three-point contest on Saturday, February 15, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Harris has quietly developed into one of the league's best three-point shooters since the former second-round pick signed on the cheap with Brooklyn back in 2016. His 46.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc ranks third in the league, just behind marks of the Portland Trail Blazers' Seth Curry and San Antonio Spurs' Davis Bertans. Harris, who's started every game for the Nets this season, is averaging career-highs across the board of 13.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

Brooklyn's public relations team deserves a mention here for drumming up public support for Harris to be included in All-Star Saturday's three-point shootout. In January, the Nets released this clever video of the five-year veteran exhibiting his shooting touch not just on the court, but also in his kitchen, at the grocery store, and while getting a quick bite from a street vendor.

Harris, who began his career as a deep reserve with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, has emerged as an integral cog of Brooklyn's present and future. He signed a two-year, $16 million contract with the club last summer, a deal that's already made him one of the league's biggest bargains. And come February 15, Harris will get a well-earned opportunity to show a national audience why.
