NBA commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN's Rachel Nichols he wasn't surprised Brooklyn Nets players tested positive for the coronavirus.

Seven NBA players have tested positive for the virus, four of them being Nets players, including two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant:

New York is a hot spot for the virus right now. Everyone in the world should take Durant's advice of, “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this.”

The Nets superstar is fortunately asymptomatic. Durant won't play in June, July or August if the NBA resumes play in the summer. He's still recovering from his Achilles tear.

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus a week ago. That was followed by positive tests from Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, Detroit Pistons big man Christian Wood and the aforementioned Nets players, which included Durant.

The Nets' last game before the NBA suspended play was in L.A. against the Los Angeles Lakers. Durant was with the team. Brooklyn defeated the Lakers 104-102.

If the NBA season resumes, the Nets will be in the seventh spot in the East standings with a record of 30-34.
