To preserve his family's legacy, Allen Crabbe of the Brooklyn Nets saved his high school and will be rightfully honored for his efforts.

Crabbe's family founded the Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools — a school on the campus of Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles. Due to lack of funds, the school was close to shutting down. Thankfully, Crabbe saved the school with a hefty six-figure donation. Per Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Crabbe pointed out how much the school means to him and his family:

“They put a lot of hard work and dedication into building that school,” Crabbe said. “I’ve had uncles, cousins, little cousins that still go there, my nephew still goes there. So me being blessed financially and in the position I’m in, you don’t want to see something my family put a lot of hard work and dedication in [close] when I have the financial means to help it stay open. Family looks after family.”

Crabbe's donation will save the jobs of Price's 35 staff members. For his efforts, a basketball court will be named after him. Crabbe expressed his excitement. For not only did he create his own legacy, but he'll continue his family's legacy which started with his grandfather — a known pastor in the school's community. The difference between them is that Crabbe — who led FKCP to a California Division IV title in 2010 — will create his own legacy via basketball. Certainly, his name will forever be etched in the school's history.
