The day has come. Ben Simmons has finally returned to Philadelphia since forcing his exit just several weeks ago. On Thursday morning, the former Rookie of the Year joined his Brooklyn Nets teammates for shootaround and he looked in high spirits as he made his first appearance inside the Sixers' Wells Fargo Arena since the blockbuster trade.

Simmons was all smiles as he made his way to the court with his Nets teammates. The 25-year-old was even dribbling a basketball as he walked through the familiar hallways of the arena (h/t NBA on TNT on Twitter):

Dare I say that Simmons looked excited? Thursday night is going to be the first time Ben returns to his former stomping ground and he's expected to get quite a welcome from the home crowd. We all know how Sixers fans feel about Ben Simmons so what we can say for certain is that they won't be giving him a warm welcome.

Based on this clip alone it looks like Simmons is already ready to play. Unfortunately, this isn't the case just yet. Simmons is still dealing with a back injury and the Nets have yet to announce when the All-Star point guard will be able to make his debut for his new team.
