Blake Griffin is officially heading to the Brooklyn Nets after clearing waivers.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Griffin is signing with the Nets for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Aside from joining forces with Brooklyn's big three in Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, the 31-year-old Blake Griffin is also reuniting with former frontcourt partner DeAndre Jordan as they try and reignite their “Lob City” days.

Rumors of Griffin's move to Brooklyn has been going around all of Sunday and hearing that the deal has been inked should give Brooklyn fans something to be excited about for the second half of the season. Griffin was bought out by the Detroit Pistons after signing him back in 2018. Unfortunately for the six-time All-Star, his time in Motor City was plagued with injuries as he was only able to play one full season (2018-19) and sat out a majority of his other seasons in Detroit.

Griffin's numbers have been plummeting since his time with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he made it to the All-Star game in his first five years in the NBA. From then on, it's been a rough ride for the former Rookie of the Year as he has been slowed down by different injuries. Griffin was able to somewhat revive his career in his first full season in Detroit where he played 75 games and averaged 24.5 points per game.

The Nets are hoping that they get some semblance of ‘Lob City' Blake as he joins forces with their already stacked lineup.

With a former All-Star in Griffin, the Nets are easily one of the favorites to win it all this year.
