You hear that? That's the sound of angry New York Knicks fans. Or frustrated, to say the least. The Knicks saw their inspired run come to a screeching halt after getting bounced out of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. So the natural thing to do for Knicks fans: Troll Brooklyn Nets fans.

The crosstown rivalry is real, and Knicks fans apparently have been blasting the Nets. To them, the Knicks is the only real team in the Big Apple.

While that sounds harsh for Nets fans, the team's CEO John Abbamondi apparently agrees. He gave a clever comment that should be a slap in the face of Knicks fans (via New York Post).

“We really want to represent Brooklyn and be authentic to Brooklyn. We’re not the New York Nets, we’re the Brooklyn Nets and there’s a difference.”

You hear that? That's the sound of fired-up Brooklyn Nets fans. Or happy, to say the least.

The Nets surely have a huge chance to win the NBA title with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving playing exceptional basketball as of late. The injury to James Harden was definitely a huge blow, but with the way the Nets have been performing, The Beard can take his time (just avoid strip clubs).

While it's true that the Knicks will always be New York's squad—it's hard to against tradition, after all—the Nets have carved their own destiny. And with the trio of Durant, Irving, and Harden leading the way for the foreseeable future, them winning a championship is not a matter of if, but when.

Troll harder, Knicks fans.
