The Brooklyn Nets headed into a battle with the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night as three and a half point road favorites even without superstar forward Kevin Durant in uniform due to a scheduled rest day. The Rockets surely took notice of the betting line and they went out and not only covered the spread but they flat-out won the game 114-104. With six players in double figures including 18 from rookie Josh Christopher off the bench, the Rockets thoroughly dismantled the Nets' defense from start to finish. Brooklyn looked like they could have used Durant on both ends of the court as they were ill-prepared to play without their best player.

The demolition took its toll not only on the Nets players and coaches but also spilled over to their fans. With the game getting out of hand late and Rockets fans behind him chirping, this Nets fan went full-on man-Karen and this is the hilarity that ensued:

The Nets (and their deranged fans) will try to get out of the losing column and start a new winning streak on Friday against an Atlanta Hawks team that is underachieving to the tune of a 13-12 record. They hung around like this last year for much longer, however, before they ultimately fired head coach Lloyd Pierce, replaced him with Nate McMillan, and went on to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Nets fell one round short of meeting the Hawks in said conference finals and were a Durant shot away from this being last year's Eastern Conference finals matchup.
